THIRD COINAGE (1637-42), type V, rough ground below horse, crowned thistle at beginning of obverse legend and two small crowns above crown on the reverse, no mint mark at the beginning of the reverse legend.
Ex:- SNC Oct. 1992 (6062). Davisson auc. June 1999 (416). Not in Burns.
Horse and King a little flat but a pleasant example of this rare variety all the same.
